McLean County Law & Justice Center Expansion, Renovation and Parking Deck

Primary focus of the McLean County Law & Justice Center expansion was improving the care provided to detainees who have mental health needs. New cell counts include separate mental health facilities, as well as the ability to improve classification across the general population, enhance inmate management across genders, and provide the facilities necessary to accommodate best practices related to staff-inmate communication and proactive inmate management. Prior to the 2019 expansion, River City Construction completed a 160,000-square foot addition to the courts and jail plus a 436-car parking deck.
